If it wasn’t for Juneathon I wouldn’t have done any exercise today. I had a good day at work, it felt reasonably productive but by the time I got home I felt bushed, think because I’d sat at my computer reviewing documents a lot of the day and my eyes were tired plus I was starving and starving for all the wrong things like Dorito’s and chocolate! I succumbed to both meaning I couldn’t go straight out and exercise as I had planned, I had to wait it out so as not to be sick mid run!  The longer I waited it out the less I wanted to do it and the more lazy I felt but as it’s Juneathon I have to run at least 1 mile every day if nothing else so in lazy mode I drove round to the gym (yes shocking I know) and ran just over a mile 2 miles on the treadmill and then drove home. Figured if I ran outside I might give up easier than on the treadmill – not really sure of the rationale behind that but that’s what I felt. It also helped at the gym as I could listen to music while I ran and knowing my iPod wasn’t charged up this wasn’t an option outside. Once I’d driven there I felt a bit rubbish at the prospect of running 1 mile and leaving so I perservered and did 20 minutes running instead which took me to just over 2 miles. Have to say I had quite a lot of heartburn – that’ll teach me for scoffing my face earlier. Note to self: resist the urge to eat before running, it’s never worth it! So day 17 done but not very impressively! Must try better tomorrow 😉

Day 17 Stats:

2.16 miles run on the treadmill in 20 minutes (Av. pace: 9:14 / mile)
